THIS Was My Calling
When I left my job in 2018, it was after I was having some serious health issues. I had gone to the hospital four times, seen multiple doctors, and was getting no answers. I was frustrated, I was burnt-out, and I needed and deserved answers!
After visiting the Cleveland Clinic, I was showing extremely HIGH levels of stress. Did you know stress can be a diagnosis? I sure didn’t before it was mine!
I went to their Functional Medicine Department and I had a health coach at the Clinic who helped me change my life and habits, step-by-step. This experience changed my life and I had to share the methods I learned with the world. After evaluating my life goals and thinking about what I truly wanted, I decided to go back to school to become a health and wellness coach. THIS was my calling!
People laughed at first when hearing the word “coach” because to be honest, it has become a bastardized term of sorts.
Some people offer transformations without having the actual knowledge and education of being able to truly offer that transformation to someone. People also sell products they don’t even take themselves and call themselves a health coach. I am not hating on anyone who does that, it just wasn’t for me. I can’t do or sell something if I am not passionate about it and can truly vouch for the product or service myself. I can’t sell something just to make money, that isn’t my end goal. My goal is to help people and that is why I went back to school. I wanted to be educated on what helped me knowing that it could help others.
This health coaching that I received at the Cleveland Clinic was far and above anything I have ever received in terms of making changes. I was hooked and I wanted to do the same thing for others. I decided to enter the same program that my Cleveland Clinic coach did and on top of my college education, as well as my yoga and meditation certifications, I felt like what I could offer people was a coach that would offer a full MIND AND BODY transformation. So at 30 years of age, I went back to school.
It was the best decision I could have made because I can truly say that with my education and experience, I can help anyone. I’ve been there, I feel what others are going through, and I want to help people going through similar things. My main issue was stress which I intend to be a huge focus of my coaching. I can also help others with any lifestyle and behavioral change that they are struggling with.
I am here for support, accountability, and to help people achieve lasting change with proven methods and strategies.
